Foshan is a city with a long revolutionary history. 28 years from 1921 to 1949 witnessed that the Communist Party of China (CPC) led Foshan people to a persistent struggle and great victory in New Democratic Revolution.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC, Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum will host an exhibition of revolutionary culture relics, namely “A Thousand Crimsoned Hills”. The relics are served as the witness to glorious struggle history of the CPC and the people, galvanizing all party members and cadres to remain true to our "original aspiration" and work hard to press ahead so as to build a modern socialist country in all respects for the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation in the end. This exhibition consists of three themes whose names are from the poem of Chairman Mao Zedong: “Going through the trying time” - to show the revolutionary history of New Democratic Revolution in Foshan with major historical events; “Great man in the revolution” - to tell stories of revolutionary forerunners from Foshan; and “The world goes on with changes” - to display the current protection of revolutionary cultural relics and the promotion of revolutionary education and patriotism education.

Notably, it is the first exhibition themed on New Democratic Revolution in Foshan where 150 objects, over 100 photos and files presented in various formats are provided and selected from museums of five districts in Foshan. By attending the exhibition, people have the chance to learn more about that history and salute to all the revolutionaries who sacrificed for the peace and prosperity we see today.
