Tsinghua professors promote industry-university-research docking in Foshan
From August 27th to 29th, Foshan Science and Technology Bureau organized the 2020 docking research activity of industry-university-research (hereinafter referred to as “IUR”) cooperation in Tsinghua University-Foshan Institute of Advanced Manufacturing.
Tsinghua’s innovation project settles in Foshan
Manufacturing industry is an important strength and outstanding feature of Foshan. At present, Foshan is focusing on the development of high-end equipment, artificial intelligence, automobile, new energy, electronic information, new materials and other industries, which has a strong demand of government-industry-university-research cooperation.
The UIR activity focuses on the field of electronic engineering. The strategic direction focused by the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University is consistent with the direction of Foshan’s industrial development, especially in the field of industrial internet, where there is broad cooperation for both.
Zhou Peishan, director of Foshan Science and Technology Bureau, expected to build a platform to effectively connect intellectual support and market demands with the help of Tsinghua University.
Effective docking promotes IUR cooperation
There is a high correlation between electronic engineering and chips, communications, industrial internet and other fields. During the research, experts and professors from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University effectively interacted with relevant enterprises in Foshan, reaching a preliminary intention of IUR cooperation.
Yanghua, President of Guangdong Shenglu Telecommunication Tech Co., Ltd., introduced that Shenglu Telecommunication has been preparing for the cooperation project and expected to further communicate with Tsinghua next week in the face of new technologies and new directions of future transformation and upgrading, and the focus on 5G vertical applications and the structure of communication system.
Explore new models to solve common key technical requirements
The research group also went to Guangdong Technology University CNC Equipment Cooperative Innovation Institute and Foshan Institute of Intelligent Equipment Technology, two new research and development institutions, and enterprises incubated by them to explore the pattern of talent communications, technological docking, and project cooperation.
Zhang Hu, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Tsinghua University and Vice Dean of Foshan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute, believes that enterprises incubated by these two institutions in semiconductor equipment, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, industrial robots, new materials and other fields will have a broad space for talent communications and technical cooperation with Tsinghua University-Foshan Institute of Advanced Manufacturing.
