Tourism re-boomed during the summer vacation
“The majority of tourists during the summer vacation are Foshan citizens and tourists from surrounding cities,” said Zou Xieyu, Branding Director of Midea Egret Lake Forest Resort. The resort focused on water activities and offered various ticket discounts, attracting 260,000 visitors in July and about 330,000 visitors in August.
Guan Yutong, the relevant incharge of Foshan GZL Internation Travel Service Ltd., introduced that families with children are still the main force of the travels in summer vacation this year, which mainly concentrated in Foshan and Guangdong, and conducted family weekend leisure trips for 3-4 days in Foshan or surrounding cities.
In addition, the summer vacation coincides with the resumption of domestic inter-regional tourism after the epidemic. The prices of a series of tourism reception resource remained low, including airlines, hotels, and scenic areas, and the price of inter-regional tourism was cost-effective, attracting many elders to travel in provinces near Guangdong.
Prepare well for the upcoming Golden Week
The Golden Week of the National Day is recognized as the last golden week to re-boom culture and tourism enterprises this year. For this key “battle”, travel agencies all introduced discount travel routes and autumn appreciation routes, attracting lots of citizens to consult for booking tourism products of the National Day in advance.
In response to the needs of tourists, in addition to improving the cost-effectiveness of tourism products, Foshan travel agencies have further optimized the design of their travel routes, which not only created autumn beauty, autumn feast and other theme products according to the prime time for appreciating autumn in different places of China, but also introduced less-known destinations for autumn appreciation and other distinctive products.
“The overlap of the National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival makes the holiday longer. When international travels are temporarily unable to resume, domestic tours will become popular and it is expected to exceed the domestic tourism level last year,” said Guan Yutong. China is extremely rich in tourism resources, and tourism employees and tourists have focused on domestic travels due to the epidemic while autumn will become a new starting point for the better development of domestic tourism.
