Mandarin orange is well known as juicy, sweet fruit, but do you know what it tastes like when it is made into dish? On June 14, the first Mandarin Orange Feast & Competition was held in Shunde, city of gastronomy.

25 groups joining the competition were required to make the dishes with mandarin orange as the main ingredient. All dishes have been exhibited online and voted by netizens.

Shunde District, crowned as "Millennium Flower Town", has a history of planting mandarin orange for more than 1,000 years. Nearly 80% of mandarin orange plants sold all over China are bred in Chencun, Shunde, the largest planting base for mandarin orange nationwide. Going forward, Shunde will work to promote mandarin orange from the aspect of food.
