"Recently, cross-border travel prevails among Foshan citizens. Since February, we have released several cost-efficient tourism products. Like the trip to Macau, the price for 2-day trip is around 300 to 400 yuan per person, which is pretty competitive. We have 2 or 3 groups departed every week. Once we set up a new group, it will be fully booked within 3 days, which is really popular," said by Feng Jinrong, the manager of Business Travel Department of Foshan Tours International Tourist Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Foshan Tours").

Cross-border trips are on the top list of enquiry. Emphasized by Ou Yangmei, Deputy general manager of Foshan Tours, as the entry procedures for Southeast Asian countries are relatively simple, these countries have won citizens' favor.

Feng Jinrong further stated that, "Destinations like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, they are mostly island tours. Particularly, Thailand would be the most cost-efficient one. A 5-day trip only costs around 3000 - 4000 yuan."

Not just Foshan Tours, several travel agencies in Foshan have already prepared their cross-border tourism products. Some agencies have sent their first tourism groups to Thailand recently.

"Nowadays, nearly 60 people come to consult about cross-border trips every day," said by Manger Zhong from CTS Foshan, "Our current plan is to organize several cross-border trips around mid-February, mostly for family or customized small groups."

According to the website of CTC Foshan, cross-border trips are mostly Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Vietnam, and domestic places like Hong Kong and Macau. And there will be more routes released regarding the recovery of international flights and increasing travelling demand of Foshan people.

Zhao Wenzhi, the CEO of CGZL, also pointed out the hot sales of cross-border trips. With special benefits provided for cross-border trips, multiple groups departed on early February were at full capacity. He also concluded that, the most popular destinations are usually with relatively convenient entry procedures, for instance, visa-free countries like Dubai, countries with arrival visa like Thailand, Egypt, etc.

According to the OTA platform, the tourism groups to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore have been opened for registration in multiple cities. Specifically, Ctrip platform has released nearly 700 cross-border tourism products, covering 15 countries and regions. Additionally, there are over 400 self-operated products with various travelling methods across 9 countries.
