Influenced by the heavy rain under the influence of both typhoon Haikui's circulation and monsoon, the current red alert for raining is in effect in five districts of Foshan. Some sections of Foshan have severe waterlogging, and the five districts issued suspension of classes notices in succession.

Tongji Road in Chancheng District

Inthe past 24 hours,the amount of precipitation in Foshan has reached 410.7mm, which has broke the historical record.

According to the typhoon and heavy rain suspension of classes guidance, the current suspension of classes in five districts of Foshan is as follows:

• Chancheng District suspends classes all day on September 8;

• Nanhai District suspends classes all day on September 8;

• Shunde District suspends classes all day on September 8;

• Gaoming District suspends classes all day in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and training institutions on September 8;

• Sanshui District suspends classes all day on September 8.
