"In the injection molding industry, there is a saying that whoever wins the automotive market can prove their leading position in this industry." On April 16, the five-day 2023 Yizumi Advanced Molding Technology Communicating Conference kicked off. Yizumi's Chairman and General Manager, Zhen Ronghui, revealed in an interview with reporters that Yizumi's automotive-related business grew by approximately 60% year-on-year last year. Its competitiveness in the field of new energy vehicles continues to increase, and it is expected to become a new pile for the company's future growth.

Trailblazing and Steady Progress Towards Internationalization

In February 2022, a new milestone was reached in China's super-large precision injection molding machines. Yizumi unveiled the 8500T ultra-large high precision injection molding machine, marking a significant advancement in key technology for domestically-manufactured super-large two-plate injection molding machines.

Its occupies the space of three badminton courts. The core component, a single cast mold, weighs over 140 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of 23 Asian elephants.

It is capable of one-time molding of large plastic parts with complex shapes, high transparency, precise dimensions, and even with embedded metal components. It has solved the challenge of manufacturing large transparent plastic parts domestically.

This revolutionary injection molding machine comes from Yizumi, and its inception began quietly two decades ago.

In 2002, at its founding, Yizumi implemented a distinctive "shareholder system" to motivate its employees, resulting in the formation of a highly skilled workforce. In its inaugural year, Yizumi successfully introduced its first injection molding machine, the UN90A. Within a span of two years, the company achieved a breakthrough by successfully prototyping the A series of large-scale injection molding machines. This accomplishment led Yizumi to be recognized as a high-tech enterprise in Guangdong Province.

Empower the Development of New Energy Vehicles

China's new energy vehicle sector experienced explosive growth in 2022, with production and sales reaching 7.058 million and 6.887 million units, respectively. This solidifies China's position as the global leader in this field for eight consecutive years.

Yizumi, seizing the opportunity, is well-positioned to benefit from the increasing demand for lightweight and high-precision integrated die-casting in the manufacturing of new energy vehicles.

As early as 2004, Yizumi established its Die Casting Machine Division and introduced its first heavy-duty die casting machine, the DM1650, two years later. In 2019, European die casting industry expert Stephen joined Yizumi as the Chief Strategic Officer for die casting and metal forming at the company.

Over the years, Yizumi has been committed to driving enterprise development through innovation. It has established R&D centers in Germany, Belgium, India, Vietnam, the United States, and other countries, integrating global scientific research resources for continuous innovation. In 2022, Yizumi's Global Innovation Center was put into operation, aiming to seek new breakthroughs in core technologies.

With the support of technology, Yizumi has established a strategic partnership with FAW Foundry to provide a 9000T die-casting integrated solution. Yizumi successfully won the bid for the China Chang’an integrated die-casting project, injecting new energy into the development of China's new energy automotive industry. This collaboration will provide Chang’an Automobile with efficient and reliable die-casting solutions, driving its development in the new energy vehicle sector.
