Foshan Athletes Shine with 2 Gold and 3 Silver Medals at Hangzhou Asian Games

The 19th Hangzhou Asian Games concluded successfully on October 8. Foshan, represented by seven athletes competing in six major events and seven minor events, witnessed its sports stars putting up an outstanding performance with 2 gold and 3 silver medals.

Chen Qingchen played a pivotal role in China's badminton success, securing 1 gold and 1 silver medal, including a gold in women's doubles and a silver in the women's team event.

Ni Xulin and Nie Yide won Foshan's first gold medal of the Asian Games in therowing eight with coxswain 8 menfinal on the opening day.

Liang Jianhao displayed exceptional skills in men's team Sabre, earning a precious silver medal.

Hu Changxin, returning from retirement, played a crucial role in China's men's water polo team's silver medal performance.

China's men's football team also made to the quarterfinals after 17 years. As a member of the team, Li Yongjia has played in two matches.

Zhang Jianjie played a key role in the Chinese handball team's advancement to the knockout stage.
