Foshan Qiuse Parade: Showcases the Rich Cultural Heritage of Lingnan

The night was alluring, with bright lights and bustling streets. On the evening of November 4th, tourists from all corners gathered for the Qiuse Parade in Foshan, turning the city into a joyful ocean.



As night fell, the sound of music filled the air, and a wide variety of lanterns illuminated the streets without reservation. The 2023 Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Week and Foshan Qiuse Parade were staged in a breathtaking display of tradition and culture.



In the heart of Chancheng district in Foshan, 51 dazzling performances and 11 beautifully decorated floats created a spectacle of colors, lights, and traditional elements. The "Seven Shows" - lantern show, float show, horse show, ground show, water show, fluttering show and scenery show, giving the citizens an amazing night.



Featured floats, colorful lantern displays, traditional dances, and artistic makeup took turns to captivate the audience. The colorful parade route attracted the attention of locals and tourists alike, filling the streets with cheers.



Among the highlights were the lively lion dance, the comical and charming Big-Headed Buddha, and the majestic dragon that danced to the beat of drums. The parade created a close interaction between performers and the audience, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the rich flavors of Foshan's traditional culture.
