Foshan "Little Lions" Show up in the 10th UAE Chinese New Year Gala

On January 14, 2024, Tenth UAE Chinese New Year Gala "Starry Sea" was held in Dubai Opera House. Notably, the folk dance "Dream of South Lions", which is created by Sanshui District Cultural Center and performed by 14 dancers from Foshan City Chenwei International Art Education, has received audience recognition.



2024 Tenth UAE Chinese New Year Gala "Starry Sea" has invited performers from over 75 countries, which has broken the Guinness World Record. This-year theme is about the upcoming New year (the year of Dragon) and also the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between China and Arab countries. Through the integration of cultures across the world, this gala aims to invoke everyone’s participation in building a brighter future.



Remarkably, those little lions have delivered an outstanding performance and won public applause with an average age of only 11 years old. Commented by Li Dongxia, Chief Director of the 2024 gala, who had watched their performance last year was impressed by the lively and resilient characteristics of the young lions showcased in the lion dance, as well as the distinctive feature of Foshan culture. Therfore, Li extended an invitation for them to participate in this year's gala.
