New elements fused in mooncake in Foshan for Mid-autumn Festival

As Mid-Autumn Festival draws closer and closer, some museums and restuarants in Foshan have innovated their moon cakes, with tons of aesthetic and local cultural icons.

Lets take a look.

 

Pull open the box, and youll see a "lion head" move just like its real. Now the mooncake box has turned into a lantern-shaped fashion bag. In cooperation with Foshan

Jincheng Quick Freeze Co., Ltd., Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum this year sells three kinds of moon cake package.

 

 

Incorporating the traditional elements like Ancestral Temple, lion dance, these moon cake combines well enough both traditional culture and modern design.

 

 

For the first time, Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum has launched its own unique moon cakes - Meitowan Shangong Mooncake and Meitowan Lantern Moon-cake (美陶湾山公月饼、美陶湾灯笼月饼). The former draws inspiration from the Legendary Change story (《嫦娥奔月》) and uses the iconic micro-sculpture in Shiwan Town. The latter resembles a hanging lantern, a century-old tradition on this special ocassion.
