Peoples Hospital of Sanshui District selected as national center
Recently, announced by National Health Commission Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center, Peoples Hospital of Sanshui District (hereinafter referred to as “Peoples Hospital”) was selected as the second group of neuro-intervention construction center. It is one of the first group selected from Foshan.
According to the criteria, five aspects are examined, including the basic condition, department setting, medical achievement, teaching and R&D. Eventually, Peoples Hospital ranks 180th.
For those hospitals selected, they are entitled for direct instruction and support from national neuro-intervention bases. For instance, the annual support includes over 20 times of actual surgery demonstration, hospital meetings, patient consultation, etc. Once the center is qualified, it can be further listed in the standardized treatment centers of neuro-intervention.
Since 2018, Peoples Hospital has formed an alliance with 13 medical institutions in fighting against stroke. Nowadays, it will utilise the resource from advanced stroke center and neuro-intervention construction center to provide better treatment to stroke patients.
