On March 13, the 95th Academy Awards Ceremony was held in Los Angeles, USA. Michelle Yeoh won the Best Actress with Everything Everywhere All at Once. This is the first Asian and first Chinese Best Actress in Oscar's history.

As an iconic martial arts actress, Michelle Yeoh has stories with Foshan, the city of Kung Fu. Ip Man Side Story: Zhang Tianzhi starring her and Zhang Jin was filmed in Nanhai, Foshan in 2017, with the opening ceremony of the film held in Xiqiao National Arts Film and Television City and filmed on the Hong Kong Street in it.

Ke Huy Quan (also known as Jonathan Ke Quan) also won the Oscar Best Supporting Actor, as the first Asian actor to win that award in nearly 40 years.

"My mum is 84 years old, and she is watching the live at home now. Mom, I just won Oscar!" When receiving the award on stage, Ke Huy Quan excitedly encouraged everyone in his speech: Believe in the power of dreams!

Ke Huy Quan was born in Vietnam in 1971. His father was from Nanhai, Foshan, and his mother was from Hong Kong. Later, his family immigrated to the United States. As Vietnamese American with an ancestral root in Foshan, China, Ke Huy Quan has created quite a phenomenon in the Asian-American community once he became popular as a child actor.

Remarkably, he can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin since he was a child. "I am Chinese, I speak Chinese, and I must learn Chinese!" He stressed that in a press interview.

In addition to Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh, there are many overseas country elites who are closely connected with Nanhai, Foshan, succeeded in their respective career fields. According to incomplete statistics, there are now more than 400,000 overseas country elites in Nanhai, who are living in more than 60 countries and regions around the world. The nostalgia settled in their hearts is always a lingering spiritual concern.
