"Foshan Dianhan" is a million blogger and native of Xiqiao, and his magic "hand swing dance" makes him stand out from the Internet. Recently, he posted the "The World's Lion Dance in China" shot at Xiqiao on the video platform, which has garnered over 4 million views in a single day. On December 1, topping the Most Searched Lists on TikTok! The video also gained nearly 800,000 comments, likes and additions to favorites!

"The World's Lion Dance in China" tells the spiritual core of lion dance culture, "As long as the drum still ring in the heart, we are all lion dance". It showcases the spirited determination of Foshan's lion performer as he fights for his dreams, while also serving as a global introduction to lion dance and Kung Fu culture.

To shoot this video, "Foshan Dianhan" led the team members back home at Xiqiao town for two months to learn, shoot and inherit the lion dance culture.

The first shooting location is the Tian lake in Xiqiao mountain, where "Wong Fei-hung Cup" water stakes Lion Dance Competition was hold. The event, hailed as an unending lion art feast, establishes standardized competition rules and judging criteria while showcasing traditional and freestyle routines.

It is worth mentioning that the water double lion project is the original south lion sports project in the Xiqiao Mountain, and it is also the most difficult and exciting sports competition in the lion art field. There are 82 piles on the water, which are double piles. During the competition, the two lion teams stands from one side of the pile, and they are needed to complete the difficult actions in set time. The two lions jumped into the arena to fight, until one of them fail in the water.

The second shooting location was Xiqiao Dragon-Lion Martial Arts Sports Association Youth Federation Training Base. And it has participated and got the first prize in various competitions on behalf of Xiqiao.

The third shooting location is Shang Jin Ou Song Tang village in Xiaoqiao, which is a famous historical cultural village that cultivated 22 imperial talents in 1549-1909.

The last shooting location is Minle primary school.

Xiqiao primary school combined Lingnan culture with lion dance art, creating courses to spread the traditional culture.

It is worth noting several professional lion dancers have attended as action directors, including Hu Yingpei, the director of Xiqiao Dragon and Lion Martial Arts Sports Association, and teachers from Xiqiao Minle primary school and Xiqiao Qiaoshan primary school.

Xiqiao is the hometown of the great master Wong Fei-hung, and it was awarded as "Guangdong Folk Culture and Art Town (Lion Dance)" and "China Folk Culture and Art Town (Lion Dance)" in 2021-2023.

Today, 33 villages and communities in Xiqiao have their own dragon-lion dance teams, and these folk lion teams play an important cultural role during major festivals or festive.

17 primary and secondary schools in Xiaoqiao have their own lion teams, every year they hold many competition activities. It bears the important historical mission of cultivating the next generation of Dragon dance learners.

Similarly, Xiqiao Mountain Lion Dance Competition has achieved the integration of folk custom and sports, competition and art , humanities events and natural landscape.
