The Largest battery storage power station operates in Nanhai

On January 3, the Baotang Individual Battery Storage Power Station (hereinafter referred to as "Baotang Station") was put into operation in Shishan Town, Nanhai.

The capacity of Baotang station is 300 MW /600 MWH, which accounts for 20% of the total new energy storage capacity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Additionally, it is the largest individual battery storage station been build at one time, and also the first station adopting multiple lithium battery energy storage technologies.

Core performance, thermal management and structural connection are the three major technical factors that directly affect the operation performance of energy storage power stations. Referring to structural connection, Baotang station has adopted five different methods, including series, bipolar, unipolar, low voltage cascade, and high voltage cascade.

If Baotang station follows the operation pattern of "Charge for two days and Release for two days", it will deliver 430 million KWH of clean electricity annually to GBA, reducing 300 thousand tons of carbon dioxide emission and fulfilling the electricity demand of 200 thousand households.

Modern medical industrial headquarter and production base starts construction

On January 2, the construction ceremony for Longsee Biomedical Industrial Base (Foshan) was held in Zhangcha, Chancheng District.

The project is expected to build a 80,000-square-meter modern medical industrial headquarter and production base. It will be mainly used for the research and development, and production of products, such as high-end detection equipment, special medical formula food, living biological drugs and etc.

Once completed, Guangdong Longsee Biomedical Co., Ltd, a national high-end enterprise, will bolster its plan of constructing a complete industrial chain. From flora cultivation to drug production, it aims to build a local industrial cluster for the biomedicine industry.

According to the scheme, the project will be completed by 2025. The base is expected to reach the optimal level after 3 years with over 800 million yuan annual output.

Orbbec 3D Visual Perception Industrial Base starts construction in Shunde

On January 3, the construction ceremony of Orbbec 3D Visual Perception Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Base (hereinafter referred to as "Orbbec Base") was held in Ronggui, Shunde District.

Established in 2013, Orbbes was known as the leading service provider for 3D visual perception technology. Many worldwide renowned enterprises like Microsoft, Nvidia, and Hewlett-Packard were its clients. Additionally, it is recognized as the top player in the domestic market of 3D visual sensors for service robots.

With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project will build a specialized industry park with a coverage of 100 thousand square meters. Apart from being a demonstration park for artificially intelligent visual perception, it will also improve the production capacity of products like 3D visual sensors and laser radars.

Nowadays, the research and development building of Orbbec has successfully launched in Nanshan, Shenzhen. In the future, the R&D building will closely collaborate with the production base in Foshan, achieving a cross-city industrial layout.
