On January 23, Shunde District held the 2024 Government Investment Key Projects Concentrated Groundbreaking Ceremony, marking the official commencement of several projects, including Midea High School affiliated with East China Normal University Second High School.

With a total investment of 599 million yuan, the project is expected to be operational by September 2025, featuring an initial design for 36 classrooms, providing approximately 1800 student placements.

Situated at the north of Yuhe Road and west of Lechuang Second Road in Beijiao Town, the planned area covers 84,367.20 square meters, with a total construction area of 95,579.81 square meters.

For the project's campus design, a top-tier team from the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design and Research was enlisted, with the objective of creating a shared and integrated learning community.

This marks an innovative exploration in collaborative construction and sharing of educational resources between the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. The school's management team, core teachers, and outstanding coaches are all dispatched by East China Normal University. Dai Liyi, Vice President of East China Normal University, serves as the Honorary President of Midea High School affiliated with East China Normal University Second High School. He noted that the project, from signing to groundbreaking, took just over half a year, and the school is now focused on cultivating outstanding innovative talents for the region.

In a collaborative effort with universities, a high-quality demonstration high school cluster is taking shape.

Midea High School, affiliated with East China Normal University Second High School, will implement a deeply integrated management model with East China Normal University Second High School to address the region's shortcomings in cultivating high school students for Olympiads.

With robust support from Midea Group, Shunde District has fostered a strong collaborative partnership with East China Normal University. The primary section of the Shunde Midea School, affiliated with East China Normal University, commenced operation in September 2022, while the construction of the middle school section is actively underway, aiming for completion and utilization by September this year.

Currently, the Sanlongwan area has attracted a cluster of renowned universities and established a series of secondary schools, marking a comprehensive initiative to shape a novel educational landscape through synergistic collaboration with higher education institutions.

As the new year unfolds, Sanlongwan is committed to further optimizing the layout of educational resources, aspiring to make the region a vibrant hub for attracting talents and fostering industry growth.
