Carlsberg Foshan Brewery Project Commence Trial Production in Sanshui

On May 20, the Carlsberg (Foshan) Brewery production base project accelerated equipment installation, preparing to commence trial production in Sanshui District, Foshan.


As of the end of April, 63 key provincial and municipal construction projects in the Sanshui have obtained 5.512 billion yuan investment and completed 41.5% of the annual investment plan. It has achieved 8.2 percentage ahead of the scheduled investment progress.. Additionally, 11 key projects were scheduled to construct this year, with 10 already underway by the end of April, achieving a groundbreaking rate of 91%.


At the Foshan Shuidu Beverage and Food Industry Park, the Carlsberg (Foshan) Brewery production base project (hereinafter referred to as "Carlsberg Foshan") has completed the construction, and most of the equipment has been installed. "We are about to start trial production and officially operate by the end of August," said a Carlsberg representative.

Carlsberg Foshan began construction in 2022 and brought the total project investment to 3 billion yuan, of which 1.5 billion yuan were fixed assets. It is marked as Carlsberg's 27th brewery in China and a flagship brewery leading in technological standards, intelligent manufacturing, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) aspects, setting several global firsts for the Carlsberg Group. Once operational, the annual production capacity will reach 500,000 kiloliters, with an annual output value of approximately 2 billion yuan.


A representative from the Development and Reform Bureau of Sanshui District stated that Sanshui will focus on major projects. The district will enhance the dedicated service teams, deepen the full-process steward service, and leverage the advantages of the district's major project command center, district leadership's involvement in key projects, and district-level parallel approval teams to continuously monitor and expedite project construction.
