Recently, the 2023 Development Report of Prefecture-level Cities in China was released, in which Shunde has ranked the first for 12 consecutive years since 2012.

Even in the volatile global situation, Shunde has managed to achieved average GDP growth rate of 4.3% from 2020 to 2022, ranking first among 5 districts in Foshan. Regarding the total industrial output value, in 2021, Shunde has achieved over one trillion yuan, making it the first prefecture-level city in China obtain this honor.

In recent years, Shunde has been promoting industrial upgrading and transformation, striving to become the friendliest district for manufacturing industry. With the strategy of "rejuvenate city with water", Shunde has also made effective efforts in protecting environment.

Next, Shunde will continue to make intensive efforts in industrial development, urban construction, environment protection, livelihood, and social service improvement, in order to build a pilot high-quality development demonstration zone.
