On May 30, National Center of Technology Innovation for Intelligent Design and Numerical Control--Foshan Center (Foshan Center of National Intelligence Center) and Seminar on Innovation and Application of Heavy-duty Robots were unveiled in Foshan. The event attracted hundreds of experts and entrepreneurs in the field of robotics to discuss current studies, application and development trend of the robotics industry.

Bai Tao, Mayor of Foshan, noted that the launching of Foshan Center of National Intelligence Center will help Foshan enhance its strategic scientific and technological capability in intelligent numerical control systems and equipment, intelligent manufacturing systems, industrial software and other aspects, to promote the independent innovation ability of robotics industry in Foshan and the GBA.

Since its establishment, National Center of Technology Innovation for Intelligent Design and Numerical Control has focused on the research and development of industrial software in the following four directions: intelligent design, intelligent process planning, intelligent numerical control system and intelligent manufacturing system. The center has been committed to achieving technical breakthroughs of key technologies, product industrialization and product promotion and application.

In the future, Foshan Center of National Intelligence Center will continue focusing on the development of strategic emerging industries, such as industrial robots and intelligent equipment. Meanwhile, the center will carry out more research on key technologies of the simulation software, controlling system and application of robots, further integrate innovative resources, introduce more high-end talents to expand the R&D team, aiming to build world-class intelligent manufacturing industry clusters and promote the development of robotics industry in Foshan and the GBA.
