This event symbolizes Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City's determination and effort to offer excellent cultural services to talents. It reflects Foshan's profound commitment to valuing, respecting, and utilizing talents. For Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City, nurturing talents is a necessary step to empower technology companies and upgrade the city's quality and development.
The event created an elegant atmosphere with elements of calligraphy, allowing participants to experience the beauty of Chinese traditional elements. During the event, the "Foshan Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City Talent Guide" was launched, showcasing key facilities for talents in science and innovation, as well as the city's supporting infrastructure.
Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City provides foreign talents with a dedicated international talent center staffed by professionals who are proficient in foreign languages and knowledgeable about business. Regarding talent services, Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City has pioneered the Foshan International Talents Hub (Sanlongwan), creating a top-tier business environment and offering a one-stop talent service that encompasses over 40 service categories.
For talent retention, Sanlongwan is working on initiatives such as the Sanlongwan Talent Brand, establishing a high-quality living community in the Greater Bay Area, launching the nation's first Talent Greenway, promoting the Foshan Talent Park, planning the construction of Foshan's talent service park in the Guangzhou University City, and organizing cultural events like the Sanlongwan Arts and Culture Week.
In the first three quarters of this year, Foshan International Talents Hub (Sanlongwan) carried out the "Warm Talent in the New Year" initiative, providing advisory and support services for 94 cases, organizing and co-organizing seven talent-related events and one Greater Bay Area partnership event. These efforts have reached 20 domestic and international companies, attracting over 60 foreign talents.

Sanlongwan: A Hub of Innovation and Opportunity
Today, Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City stands as a hub, boasting the presence of two Fortune 500 companies, one provincial laboratory (Jihua Laboratory), 23 publicly-listed companies, 83 provincial engineering technology research centers, 11 incubators, 10 co-working spaces, 342 high-tech enterprises, and 202 tech-driven small and medium-sized businesses.
As one of the first four provincial laboratories in Guangdong, Jihua Laboratory is deeply committed to the field of advanced manufacturing science and technology. It aspires to create a research team rooted in Foshan, establish a top-tier international research platform, cultivate a core set of independent and controllable technologies, and drive the emergence of innovative industries.
"To attract and retain high-end talents, we need an environment that is not only comfortable for living but also conducive to working," emphasized Ye Hengqiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a researcher at Jihua Laboratory.
To ensure the satisfaction and settlement of talents, Sanlongwan has undertaken extensive efforts.
In recent years, Sanlongwan has prioritized the development of three crucial aspects: an ecological environment that thrives alongside waterways, a dynamic and culturally enriched area along the waterfront, and an intellectual hub that focuses on talent attraction and drives innovation.
Sanlongwan's commitment to attracting innovative resources transcends mere environmental considerations. This year, the comprehensive upgrade of Sanlongwan Avenue and adjacent roads has neared completion, the Songyuan Greening Project was officially opened to the public in May, and the enhancement of Foshan Park (Recreation Area) has been accelerated with preliminary feasibility and initial design work completed. Additionally, the all-electric cruise ship commenced operations, introducing a range of special cruise routes to enliven "Sanlongwan Night Tours."
From 2021 to 2030, Sanlongwan has planned to allocate 1,073 acres for educational purposes, with an investment of 6.8 billion RMB. This initiative will involve the construction of eight kindergartens and ten primary and secondary schools, generating an additional 38,000 high-quality school placements. These plans aim to activate at least one new school each year. Presently, Sanlongwan has successfully attracted schools such as Majestic International College, LEH International School, Nansha Foreign Language School, and Yinghua School. Furthermore, high-quality educational resources, including South China Normal University and Foshan No. 1 Middle School, have already found their footing in Sanlongwan.
Regarding healthcare, Sanlongwan has inaugurated the Foshan Women and Child Health Hospital (Foshan New City Campus). Additionally, the Heyou International Hospital, the Foshan No. 1 Hospital's Sanlongwan Branch, and the Foshan Hospital of TCM (Foshan New City Campus) have begun construction.
In terms of urban rail transit, Foshan Metro Line 2, Foshan Metro Line 3, and the western extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 7 in Shunde have been successively launched.
