Consecutive three days for the big cultural activity in LubaoSanshui! In this year, the birth of the North Monarch will be co-sponsored by Lubao cultural center and Xujiang Ancestral Temple form March 29 to 31, with a theme of Waterside village decorated Lingnan area—2017 birth of the North Monarch temple fair in Xujiang ancient town. The birth of the North Monarch cultural activity will include many events such as North Monarch parade, one thousand people’s Tai Chi, distributing dragon rice of opening light (a kind of religious rites) and folk cultural joint performance. worship and blessing ceremony

Chanting sutras,lion dancing, the believers will follow the master going into the worship palace to pray and bless, and then a sacred scene of worshiping the North Monarch will be shown, fully and truly presenting the historic excursion of the North Monarch.

 North Monarch parade

North Monarch parade will begin with “dragon lions assembling” and there will be North Monarch honor guard and national intangible cultural heritages including YakouPiaose, first plate, first gong, emperor umbrella, cloth embroidery, flower basket team, red kerchief, Tai Chi and performance team and believers.

The parade route in this year will begin from the front gate of Ancestral Temple-Yanjiang Road-LubaoTheatre-ChenggongRoad-LongpoPark-Longpo San road-Cultural Square– the east gate of Ancestral Temple-back to palace. There will be performance at some points along the route.

One thousand people’s Tai Chi

On the 3rd day of the third lunar month, there will be one thousand people performing Tai Chi in the cultural square, showing profound and long-standing culture to citizens and visitors.

 Gourmet during the temple fair

Apart from display of cultural folk goods during the fair, featured gourmets of local and other places will be also offered to visitors.A gourmet street will be arranged at that time. Besides, there will be cross-district art performance on the spot.

 Release ceremony

Taoism disciples will carry out a release ceremony at the Yu gate of the Ancestral Temple. A cultural show themed “inherit cultural classics and spread traditional culture” will be shown during the activity.

Photography competition of “Feeling of Xujiang ancient town”

During the activity, a photography competition will also be held and the works will be presented on Lubao’ official WeChat “Impressions on Lubao(印象芦苞)”. Awards will be set for outstanding works and the highest bonuswill be 3800 RMB ($552).
