Spectacular Lion Dance Stuns Audiences at 2023 China-Mongolia Expo

On September 5, the "Rainbow of Friendship" international cultural exchange performance, a key part of the 4th China-Mongolia Expo, staged at the Inner Mongolia Art Theater. The Lion Dance from Nanhai, Foshan, the birthplace of lion dance, showcased their breathtaking performance alongside 600 professional actors from China, Mongolia, and Russia, fostering mutual appreciation.



The lion dance featured impressive acrobatics on high pedestals, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience. The playful lions interacted with spectators, capturing hearts and providing photo opportunities.


Bilintang, with over 200 years of history, has modernized lion dance education and performances, making it more accessible to young generations and global audiences.



In recent years, with the strong support of the government, the Bilintang Lion Dance Troupe has gained increasing prominence. They not only graced the CCTV stage but also collaborated with celebrity bands. Their innovative approach has made traditional culture more appealing to younger generations. Their outstanding performance on this occasion has garnered praise from friends both domestically and internationally, once again shining a spotlight on Nanhai's lion dance culture.
