Lychee fruits are turning red and ripen with fragrance as summer comes. Enjoying icy, fresh and sweet lychee fruits is an annual ritual for Guangdong locals in hot summer days.

Guangzhous Huangpu district is famous for its Lychee culture. Its old lychee trees cover an area of more than 3000 acres, including Bicuns "No Mai Tsze" and Luogangs "Kwai May", two of "the three best lychee varieties" in China.
