In recent years, cases of cardiac diseases in public areas have been reported in multiple cities, a shared concern that dictates more prompt reaction and professional medical facilities in all possible situations.

From February 15th to 16th, Foshan Metro has start to install AEDs (abbreviation for "Automatic External Defibrillator", "自动体外除颤器") on all 17 stations. When theres a heart-related medical emergency, a strong backing system might save millions of lives.

In close cooperation with Foshan First Aid Center, all personnels at Foshan Metro Line 2 are professionally trained in terms of AED specifications and emergency rescue.

On top of training among the metro staff, videos and pictures will also be aired in all stations to promote AED and other first-aid skills.
