The first China Artificial Intelligence Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & the 20th National Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition were held at the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 24th to 26th.This year's competition had a total of four categories of events including AI Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Robot and AI Competition, Digital Media Creative Design Competition and AI Plus Automatic Driving Competition. This year, more than 200 teams and nearly 1,000 contestants from Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University and so on competed at the same stage in Shunde, Foshan.
Conforming to the updated trend and adding four major contest events
The 20th National Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition covered 13 categories and 49 competitions. In addition to robot football game, robot dance, drone racing and so on, robot workstation design competition, underwater robot competition, unmanned vehicle intelligent challenge competition, intelligent home robot competition were added this year in line with the general trend of AI R&D applications home and abroad.
“Competition plus Summit” has promoted the new development of AI Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This time, two projects containing AI Plus Digital Creative Design and Algorithm Practice of the AI Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held firstly to accelerate the deep integration of AI technology and industry, and to enhance the popularization of AI applications and personnel training. After several months of rigorous selection, there were 27 outstanding teams from universities and enterprises participating in the finals of the first China Artificial Intelligence Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Shunde, Foshan.
On October 25th,the competition also held the first China AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit at the same period, where top national experts such as national academicians, academic leaders and representatives of leading companies were invited to bring the latest technology in the field of AI.
“Building a platform”to realize the accurate docking between university teams and enterprises
The organizer of the competition said that as the forerunner of the China Robot Competition, this year's competition focused on building a precise docking platform between intelligent manufacturing enterprises and university technical talents. With the advantage of the industrial cluster of Shunde, it has taken the platform, introduced projects and gathered talents to achieve the transfer and landing of high-quality projects, to find better development space for professionals and to assist manufacturing companies to achieve transformation and upgrading.
