The air quality of Foshan in August was released. According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) evaluation, the city’s days of good air quality account for 100% of the evaluated days in the whole month.
According to the city’s Ecology and Environment Bureau, in August 2022, the average concentrations of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), respirable particulate matter (PM10), and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in Foshan are 6, 21, 22, and 13 micrograms per cubic meter, respectively, and the 95th percentile of the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) is 0.6 milligrams per cubic meter.
At the same time, the Foshan Ecology and Environment Bureau also released the air quality ranking of the five districts and towns in August. In the five districts of Foshan, ranked by the comprehensive air quality index, Gaoming is at the top of the list, indicating the best air quality. By the year-on-year change in the comprehensive air quality index, Chancheng ranks first, showing its biggest year-on-year improvement in air quality.
