One the afternoon of June 16, the opening of the 4th Session of the 12th Foshan Municipal Committee of Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held at the International Convention Center of Sino-European Center.

On behalf of the standing committee of Foshan Municipal Committee of CPPCC, Xiong Zhixiang, Chairman of the Foshan Municipal Committee of CPPCC made a work report on the session, and made the deployment of work in 2020.

In 2019, Foshan municipal CPPCC members, participating departments and special committees of the CPPCC actively performed their duties by submitting 379 proposals. After examination, 292 proposals were registered with a case-filing rate of 77%. Among them, there were 49 collective proposals and 243 individual proposals, and 213 were finally handed over after combination. The proposals were all reviewed by the end of October 2019, and many of them have been adopted by government departments or become important references for decision-making.

At 9:00 am, members were checking in and getting prepared for the session.

Suggestions on the Construction and Development of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster and other 16 outstanding proposals were commended, and 180 CPPCC members were awarded the honorary titles of "Excellent Members in Performance Appraisal of 2019".
