On the morning of December 3, the four-day 2020 China (Foshan) International Intelligent Robot Expo (IIRE), 2020 Global Intelligent Robot Industry Summit and the 2020 World Robot Contest Finals kicked off in Foshan. Top domestic and foreign robot manufacturers showcased their cutting-edge products, core technologies and latest application solutions in various fields of robots during the Expo, the Industry Summit and the Robot Contest. 
  
300 enterprises displayed various professional robots
  
In the Hall 1-3 of Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, 300 robot manufacturers, including SIASUN, CITIC Heavy Industries, Kuka from Germany, and ABB from Switzerland, appeared with stunning robotic products, such as fire-fighting detection robot, police anti-terrorism unmanned vehicle, and intelligent all-in-one cleaning robot. The robots exhibited at the Expo covered the application scenes currently involved with robots, such as industrial robot and intelligent logistics, service robot and intelligent life, special robots and unmanned systems, etc.
  
  
Zhang Yun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone (Sanlongwan), said that this years Expo has not only provided a diversified communication platform for exhibitors, but also met various needs of the government, industry, enterprises and related institutions by creating intelligent manufacturing industry ecology, and realized the ecological closed-loop expo construction for exhibition, communication, transaction and new product release.
  
  
Top talents gathered to share cutting-edge robot technologies
  
In the Hall 4-5, the 2020 World Robot Contest Finals started the first-day competition, including the Youth Robot Design Competition and the Coexisting-Cooperative-Cognitive Robot Challenge. The 2020 Global Intelligent Robot Industry Summit, focusing on the cutting-edge technology and innovative applications of intelligent robots, kicked off at the same time. Professors from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Hamburg University in Germany, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other well-known universities at home and abroad gathered to share the latest research and applications of robots in intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet, scene applications and other aspects. 
  
  
  
The Industry Summit has discussed the latest development and application of intelligent robots in China via multiple directions, perspectives, fields and levels. In terms of technology application, at the Listed Enterprise Leaders Forum held during the Summit, leaders of more than 10 leading enterprises, including Shenyang SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. and Shanghai STEP Electric Corporation, shared their latest exploration and practical achievements in the fields of industrial Internet robot, orthopedic surgery robot, distribution robot and digital twin-driven robot.
