On January 5, the launching ceremony of China Aviation Cloud Telecom "International Data Transmission Hub" Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Node (Shunde Financial Cloud) Project was held in Beijiao Town, Shunde District. As a key project in Guangdong Province, it aims to establish a "Financial + Digital" cloud ecological industrial chain headquarter of the multi-integrated global submarine cable network, and effectively covers the countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Build a data center with 3,000 cabinets

The project, with a total investment of about 1 billion yuan, covering an area of about 16,666 square meters, plans to build a data center with 3,000 cabinets, a cross-border financial data service zone, an industrial Internet and artificial intelligence innovation center, and a supporting incubation base, which is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Liang Jianmin, Chief Financial Officer of China Aviation Cloud Holding Group (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., said that Shunde is building an internationally competitive digital industry cluster that is highly consistent with enterprises’ strategic missions of "global intelligence", which have strengthened the determination of enterprises to invest in Shunde.

Establish "Financial + Digital" cloud ecological industrial chain headquarters

The China Aviation Cloud Telecom "Shunde Financial Cloud" Project settled in Beijiao is mainly supported by the global data network, and it takes the construction of the data exchange center as the core and headquarters economy as the main form to build a cross-border "Financial Cloud" platform for the Belt and Road Initiative.

The project will adhere to the cloud computing industry as the main development direction, establish a complete cloud computing industry ecosystem, realize the transformation and upgrading of local manufacturing industry on the basis of cross-border "Financial Cloud" platform, and cooperate with Midea, Country Garden and other local leading enterprises.

In addition, Shunde Financial Cloud Project is also the first construction project of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster (hereinafter referred to as Sanlongwan) in 2021. In the next stage, in order to grasp the new opportunities in a new round of information technology reform and the settlement of Shunde Financial Cloud Project, the Shunde area of Sanlongwan will take this chance to develop and build a number of new infrastructure projects at a high level based on digital industrialization and industrial digitization, speed up the incubation of new momentum, and promote the new infrastructure construction in the Greater Bay Area.
