Cantonese-featured Book Academy unveiled in Gaoming

The Cantonese-featured Book Academy located in Midea Egret Lake Forest Resort in Gaoming District, Foshan was officially unveiled on November 27th. As one of Guangdong’s demonstration sites for the integration of culture and tourism, the academy marks a solid step in innovating public cultural services and enriching tourism resources.

 

 

This two-story  book academy occupies a total area of 300 square meters. The first floor is a multi-functional hall integrating tea culture and art, Gaoming cultural and creative product exhibition and red culture books exhibition, and the second floor is an intelligent library combining self-help borrowing, research and cultural activities, with a total of 15,000 books.

 

The “Cantonese Book Academy” is an important measure of Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to promote the in-depth integrated development of culture and tourism, and the introduction of public cultural facilities. Being a leading scenic spot in Gaoming, Midea Egret Lake Forest Resort is selected as a pilot project to explore the ways to turn public services into a demonstration and lead the new trend of cultural and tourism consumption in scenic spots.

 

 

Staff in Gaoming Library introduced that the preparation process of the Cantonese Book Academy has received strong support from the cultural departments at the city and district levels, and it became a member hall of Foshan Library.
