On February 8th, the opening ceremony of major projects in the first quarter of 2022 and the Northern Foshan Strategic New Industrial Park was held in Sanshui District. In the first quarter of 2022, Foshan plans to start 102 major projects, with a total investment of 135.403 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 20.722 billion yuan. 

As one of the seven large-scale industrial clusters in Guangdong, Northern Foshan Strategic New Industrial Park with a total planning zone of 487 square kilometers will focus on building a provincial important base for advanced manufacturing industry, a demonstration highland for the industrialization of scientific and technological innovation, and a major industrial carrier for "double zones" and "two cooperation zones" to support the coordinated development of "one core, one belt and one area". 

In order to further promote project landing in Northern Foshan Strategic New Industrial Park, Foshan has completed the Sorting List of Key Construction Projects in Foshan Major Industrial Cluster Area, announcing that 134 key projects with a total investment of 255.8 billion yuan will be invested in Foshan large industrial cluster areas. 

As planned, 26 major projects were started in the first quarter in Northern Foshan Strategic New Industrial Park , accounting for one quarter of the total number of major projects started in the first quarter, covering 21 industrial projects, 4 infrastructure projects and 1 livelihood project. 

Focusing on main categories of industry, infrastructure and livelihood, the new started projects cover fields in intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, new infrastructure, etc., including a number of projects like Phase I Project of Foshan Metro Line 4 and Yundonghai Life Science Park of Guangdong Medical Valley.
