The first China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was rounded off recently. Foshan, as the host, has established a platform for talents communications, which offered great opportunities to scholars worldwide. More talents in science and technology industries as the pioneers empowering Foshan, heading towards a massive potential in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area(GBA).

LUQOM ASIA Ltd., one of the German enterprises, settled in Foshan this year. The General Manager, Ludger Tillmann is optimistic about the business future and development in Foshan, considering it the “invisible champion". He has been through the whole process from company location inspection to settlement, which has given him an overall understanding of the business environment and supporting services in Foshan.

Foshan, one of the cities in GBA, has developed into a platform for growing small and medium enterprises and attracting innovations and talents around the world. Your company was established this year, and why choose Foshan? 

贵司是今年才正式成立的，为什么会选择在佛山落户？

For our company, we have suppliers in the whole Guangdong area, and just within one and a half hours we can get to more than 80% of them, so it is quite convenient to us. 

我们公司大部分的供应商都在广东地区，佛山有着良好的区位优势，一个半小时以内便可直接到达八成以上的供应商所在地，这对我们而言十分便捷。 

您认为佛山还有什么地方需要改进，或者政府能够给予什么样的帮助？ 

I do believe that Foshan should and have to improve in accepting foreigners when they come with certain request. When I need to handle the business, it has been super challenging. I’m not a Chinese, I don’t have the ID card, so you always have some challenges. 

我认为佛山需要在某些方面适当改进，希望当外国人遇到困难的时候能够给予帮助。有时候需要办理一些业务，让我感到很困难。因为我不是中国人，我没有身份证，这点会造成一些办事上的障碍。 

您认为如何深化中德合作？ 

Talents is the key to China-Germany cooperation.For Foshans strategic emerging industries, attracting more talents is an important issue. Foshan should focus on the professional needs of enterprise development, and gather more talents by holding "Talent Forums" and other activities, so as to provide more advantages for the development and growth of Foshan enterprises. 

中德合作，引进人才是关键。佛山战略性新兴产业亟待发展，人才吸引力不足。佛山应该围绕企业发展的专业性需求，通过举办常态化的“人才论坛”等活动吸纳和集聚更多人才资源，为佛山企业发展壮大提供更多优势。 

专业团队、一窗通办、执行高效，Ludger认为这些对于企业和投资者来说非常重要。他认为佛山应该进一步在优化政务服务方式、提高服务效能上下功夫，针对外国投资企业设立更为便捷的办事窗口，从走多个部门、走多个流程，到集中在一个窗口或中心办事，大大提高企业办事效率，持续优化营商环境。 

“我认为中德合作早已是进行时。虽然目前佛山在德国尚未为人熟知，但未来，飞速发展的佛山一定会被更多人看到。”Ludger表示，自己十分看好佛山这座城市的发展势头，希望佛山在人才引进、供应链服务、产品研发设计等方面不断完善，期待能与这座城市“共同成长”。
