Tucked away in Jitian Village, Gaoming is a large corn field with 20,000 square meters. These well-grown corns lining up on the field, called as "Fotian 10 Corn", are a new variety developed by Foshan University. Just taste one kernel of corn, you will definitely amazed at how sweet and juicy it is.

This variety is high-quality and productive. It can also withstand hot temperatures. This crop goes from seed to ear of corn in merely 76 days. The yield on a land of 666 square meters reaches up to 1,080.1 kilograms.

Climatically, Guangdong is hot and humid from May to September. In this case, many kinds of plants are suffered from pests, so farmers will not choose to seed in this period. "Fotian 10 Corn", however, can be grown from April and August. It means income and harvest can be secured for both farmers and consumers.

With the latest technology, Foshan’s local agriculture is expected to take off and rural revitalization, be pushed forward.
