Sanlongwan saw in-depth Sino-German exchange between the government and enterprises on vocational education

In a close partnership with Education Plus, Sanlongwan held the Sino-German Government-Enterprise Exchange on Vocational Education (Foshan Session). The session gathers up both Chinese and foreign guests, who shared about their experience, challenges and solution on how to promote vocational skills through public training platforms. Joint efforts have been made to shape a new model for vocational education development.


 
Some of the guests present at this online meeting come from Bosch China, Carl Zeiss China Vocational Education Department, German Lucaside Education Group, Phoenix China Company Education Division, Sino-German Vocational Education Industry-Education Integration Alliance, German Siling Robot and local vocational education colleges in Shunde such as the Technical College, Foshan Vocational and Technical College, and Foshan Technician College. During the. meeting, they have exchanged their opinion and exploration results.
 
As the only pilot city for comprehensive reform of manufacturing transformation and upgrading in China, Foshan attaches great importance to vocational education. In an effort to push forward industrial transformation and upgrading, Foshan has come up with actions and measures to upgrade vocational skills, develop vocational education, implement the “dual-system” of school-enterprise cooperation and vocational teaching mode, carry out customized professional skills training, support the construction of master studios/workshops, and create high-quality teams of talent.
 
 
According to Zhu Xixiong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Foshan Sino-German Industrial Service Zone (Sanlongwan), the event was a success as it focuses on vocational skills on public training platforms. Essentially, Chinese and foreign guests shared successful experiences, exchanged problems and challenges, and explored a new model that bonds together schools, the government, enterprises in ways that promote the development of vocational education. Eventually, resources can be pooled between colleges and R&D enterprises.
