On November 25, the 2023 China Dragon Boat Competition kicked off in Shunfeng Mountain Park, Shunde District, Foshan. Over 40 top dragon boat teams from across the country with nearly 900 rowers, constituted vigorous scenes of "Fast and Furious" in a thrilling showdown.

This year's competition serves as a gathering of the top dragon boat squads from within the country. For instance, the 18 teams in the men's open division were all top-ranking teams from previous professional dragon boat competitions.

The competition this time, held from November 25 to November 26, was divided into four divisions: men's open, women's open, junior men, and junior women. They contended for rankings in the 200-meter, 500-meter, and 1000-meter straight-line races. The first day of the competition saw hundreds of dragon boat rowers competing fiercely in the 200-meter straight-line race.

Feng Wenhao, who came with his daughter from a neighboring village, expressed his support for the competition, "As a Shunde native, we should definitely support and pass down the dragon boat culture!" He also mentioned that his daughter was highly interested in the dragon boat races, who couldn't wait a second to cheer for the competition.
