Foshan has lined up a series of folk events as the National Day holiday arrives, offering a unique charm where tradition meets festive joy.

Fire Dragon Dance

The Fire Dragon Dance is a traditional folk event in Shangyuan Village, Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng. The dragon is regarded as an auspicious symbol with the power to bring rain, ward off disasters, and bestow blessings. In the past, people performed dragon dances to pray for peace and a bountiful harvest.

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Nanzhuang will host the spectacular Fire Dragon Dance again. Visitors can also explore the newly built Fire Dragon Dance Cultural Exhibition Hall, where VR technology recreates the grand scenes of the tradition.

Fire Carnival

The Fire Carnival at Guangdong Romance Park blends fire culture and fiery elements with music, dance, technology, and folk performances, offering visitors an immersive journey into the captivating charm of Guangdong's thousand-year history.Through breathtaking live-action shows that tell stories of Lingnan, the experience makes you feel as if you've traveled back in time.

Burning the "Fan Tower"

Burning the "Fan Tower" is one of the grandest Mid-Autumn Festival traditions in Songtang Village, Xiqiao. The ritual has become a folk ceremony for praying for good harvests and happiness. High flames symbolize good fortune. The higher the flames and the more sparks they scatter, the greater the blessing is believed to be.

Shunde Daliang Fish Lantern Festival

This year's Fish Lantern Festival includes a majestic 6-meter-long golden fish lantern and a parade of over 200 performers. Stroll through the vibrant festivities, filled with the drumbeats and music of a lively celebration, and soak in the unique festive atmosphere of Lingnan's water towns.
