On January 5th, the awards ceremony for 2021 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-Value Patent Cultivation & Layout Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "the 3rd GBA Patent Competition") was held in Foshan. The event gave credits to 35 patented innovation projects that stood out at the finals. As the hosting city, Foshan took home 4 gold awards and 6 outstanding awards in the contest, winning more than any other cities in Guangdong province.

It has been announced by the Committee that the next event will still be held in Foshan. Dedicated to the GBA blueprint, the GBA Patent Competition draws projects of innovation and ingenuity from all parts of China, including Hong Kong and Macao.

This year, awarded projects are estimated at high market value, with 3.29 billion yuan summed up by the Top 50 shortlisted projects and 160 million yuan for each project.
