Industrial design empowers high-quality development. The Foshan Industrial Design Week 2021 and the 2021 Foshan Mayor Cup Industrial Competition Exhibition were held in Foshan Cultural Center, December 22, 2021.
The Foshan government valued industrial design as an essential power driving its development towards a high-quality direction by releasing relevant policies and regulations. With this support, a more governmental-supported, market-effective, companies jointly innovated, and experts-supported industrial design innovation system will be formed in the upcoming future.

High-tech products in Industrial Design Week
Seven years of successful experience in holding the Mayor Cup Competitions in Foshan has gained Foshan a good reputation in the industrial design industry and made it a displayed platform for designers to communicate and interact.
170 enterprises, over a hundred universities, and freelance designers from 80 regions nationwide (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) have participated in the Industrial Design Week, and 3,850 works were displayed, which showed an increasing sign in three consecutive years.
It is worth mentioning that competitions innovation has promoted the cooperation between industrial design and pillar industries of Foshan. For instance, since the smart device category has been added to the competition, higher-quality works have been sent.
Promoting the application of the industrial design works
This competition has built the online transforming platform to generate the application transformation, a new normal for the whole industry lines. Industrial design goes into Foshan industry cluster activities to promote constructions of design innovation supporting system.
There will be more activities related to industrial design development, including seminars, sharing conferences, and communication workshops. The Industrial Design Week 2021 is free to the public from Dec 22 to 25 in Foshan Cultural Center.
