How to ensure low carbon in full circle of manufacturing? Shenling, a flagship air-conditioning manufacturer in Foshan, is finding solutions in Shunde. On May 8th, Shenling Environmental Intelligent Manufacturing Base (Shunde High-tech Zone) was opened to business. The base covers a construction area of 188,000 square meters and integrates office, R&D, and manufacturing in design. Going on full life-cycle, the park was missioned to be a "digital low-carbon park". It seeks intelligence in three areas - intelligent park, intelligent manufacturing and intelligent products.

Passive building technology was the key formula for low carbon emission. The construction team built up an envelope structure to  improve thermal performance. Plus, the project adopts renewable zero-carbon photovoltaic power generation and high-efficiency computer room technology. That largely reduces energy consumption and carbon emissions. Water cooling technology through large temperature difference, waste heat recovery and heat storage also helped to reduce the operating cost of the environmental control system. 

The industrial park also adopts online 3D panoramic management, featuring real-time monitoring of building energy consumption and photovoltaic power generation, including air conditioners, lighting, elevators, etc.

One other highlight of the project would be the digital factory and smart products it produced. Now the park has gained access to full 5G private network coverage and all 5G devices are connected, making it possible for automation (such as warehouse storage, intelligent distribution, and online detection).
