Settled in China (Sanshui) International Water City Beverage and Food Base, Yakult Foshan Factory started construction in March 2019 and produces sour milk beverage mainly sold to Guangdong and Hainan provinces. Yakult Foshan Factory was built as the 6th factory of the group in Chinese mainland, and the brand is counted as the first Japanese-funded beverage enterprise project to settle in the city.

Yakult Foshan Factory (Phase III) includes new warehouses for raw materials and 2 production lines. In the past, the facility made 1.6 million bottles per day, and now makes 2.4 million bottles per day. In recent years, Yakult has fostered a new growth model that features sales in both e-commerce and real shops. As data shows, in 2021, Yakult topped an average daily sales of 2.82 million, about 50 times more than 59,000 bottles in 2002.
