Ma Xianmin, Head of GIPPC, unveiled that there have been about 50 to 100 intellectual property cases related to the overseas business of Guangdong enterprises every quarter in recent years. "Guangdong enterprises have encountered more and more intellectual property disputes overseas. Its urgent to assist enterprises with the challenges they faced in terms of intellectual property rights," said Ma.

CCPIT Guangdong and GIPPC plan to jointly establish the first batch of intellectual property protection offices in Russia, Germany and the US in 2022, with the help of the existing Guangdong economic and trade offices as well as the Guangdong chambers of commerce overseas. These offices are responsible for providing latest legal information and legal advises of their host countries to Guangdong enterprises.
