Foshan hospitals have entered the peak period, day surgery is the solution
To overcome the peak period in summer, Foshan hospitals have scheduled more day surgeries. Regarding day surgery, it means patients will finish all planned treatment in one day. If they request further treatments, the maximum time of staying is 48 hours.
The key feature of it is less time, high efficiency, high utilization rate of hospital beds, and low cost incurred, which makes it popular among patients and hospitals.
Currently, there are 120 types of day surgery available in Foshan.
Officers from day surgery center further state that, although it is completed in 24 hours, patients will go through a serial of assessment about their condition in advance and qualified ones are permitted to conduct it. Additionally, observation after surgery is required as usual.
