Second Galanz aero-microwave settles in Chinese space station
On July 24, the Long March 5B Y3 rocket, carrying Wentian science module, was successfully launched at Hainan Nanchang launching site while the second Galanz aero microwave is settled in the Tiangong station and come into service for astronauts.
The first aero microwave served to cook different dishes like Mapo Tofu and shredded pork with garlic sauce, and snacks like chocolate and mooncake for astronauts in Chinese space station in May 2021.
Reportedly, Galanz aero microwave project was approved in 2011. Galanz invented a special magnetron that can be used in space and a more efficient microwave which only needs 600w to cook and finish a meal for 3 astronauts in 7 minutes.
In order to keep astronauts in best state and make cooking and eating more convenient in space, Galanz spent 10 years to invent aero microwave. The second aero microwave will guarantee the satisfaction of astronauts’ daily demand and escort for aerial development.
