On August 3, Fortune World has released its annual listing of "Fortune World 500" (hereinafter referred to as "the list"). This year, with strong track of record, two enterprises from Foshan, namely Country Garden and Midea Group have continued to stand out on the list.

Overall, the list summed up the yearly performance by some of the most history-making Chinese listed companies. Statistics show that Country Garden ranked 138 with a turnover of $81.091 billion (one place up from last year) and Midea ranked 245 with a turnover of $53.231 billion (43 places up from last year).
