On August 15, the “2022 Academic Ranking of World University” (Hereinafter referred to as “ARWU”) was released by Shanghai Ranking, the global professional institution for higher education evaluation. Among the 1000 world leading research universities on the list, 163 universities are from China.

On the list, Foshan University ranks at 901-1000th bracket in the world and 148th-163rd bracket in Chinese mainland. It was the second time for Foshan University to rank among the top 1000 academic universities since 2021.

According to the list, the subjects Engineering and Material Science of Foshan University ranked the top 1% in the world, and the subjects Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture are both on the list of the "2021 Best Chinese Subjects Ranking".
