From August 23rd to 24th, the roller-skating competition of Guangdong Provincial Sports Game was held in Shunde. There are 14 municipal teams including Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc, attending this competition. 146 athletes tried their best to win those 18 golden medals.

The competition includes three main games: 500 meters sprint, 1000 meters time trial and 10000 meters point race. Based on the age and gender, athletes are divided into female and male groups with three age brackets.

Regarding Foshan team, 16 athletes are aged from 10-18. 90% of them are selected from Shunde district as Shunde has a longer history in roller-skating and  higher sport level.
