Recently, the Industrial Internet Platform Innovation Cooperation Center announced the national industrial Internet development index for urban areas and parks in 2021. Nanhai District was selected as a leading urban area to drive digital innovation by industrial Internet, ranking second nationwide.

Last year, the Industrial Internet Platform Innovation Cooperation Center was established under the guidance of the Department of Information Technology Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and initiated by the China Industrial Internet Research Institute together with many industrial Internet platform enterprises and ministry-affiliated institutions.

Industrial Internet promotes digital innovation in leading urban areas and parks, mainly relying on ranking of the national industrial Internet development index of urban areas and parks. The index system covers four primary indicators and 13 secondary indicators, including infrastructure, integrated application, industrial ecology and development environment, and the indicators are selected according to the situation of urban areas and parks.
