On September 21st, Mafang Grand Bridge, set at the junction of Foshan and Zhaoqing, celebrates the first day of opening. As an important part of Dongjin Avenue, the bridge breeds greater interconnectivity between Foshan and Zhaoqing.

 

It starts from where Mafang intersects with Sanshui, and it spans across Zhaoqing High-tech Zone, Sihui, Zhaoqing New Town and Dinghui District. It arrives at Duanzhou District in the west, with a total length of about 53.92 kilometers.

 

The facility was designed as two-way ten to twelve lanes, with a designed main road speed of 80 km/h and side road of 40 km/h. With no traffic lights on the main road, travel will become easier between the two cities.
