Student from Shunde won gold medal at WorldSkills Competition

On Oct 16, two Chinese contestants, Wu Hongyu and Zhou Chujie won two gold medals in CNC Turning and CNC Milling, respectively, at World Skills Competition 2022 Special Edition.
 

 

Hailed as the "WorldSkills Olympics", the WorldSkills Competition is held every two years and aims to showcase the current world-class standards of professional skills. From 2015 to 2019, Chinese team won gold medals in CNC Milling for 3 consecutive years. This year, the event will take place under the title“WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition”with 62 disciplines in 15 nations and Chinese team will participate in 34 disciplines. Candidates from 26 countries and regions are expected to participate in CNC Turning and CNC Milling competitions from October 10 to 15, in Leonberg.

 

 

It is also worth mentioning that Zhou Chujie was a Shunde Liang Qiuju Vocational and Technical School graduates of 2018, majoring in numerical control. Since he joined the CNC Milling competition team in the summer vacation of 2016, he has started hectic training day after day. Though it’s hot and hard in the workshop, he is always strict with himself and accomplishes various tasks that were signed by his coach.
