As a significant transportation project across Nanhai and Sanshui District, the Third Bridge in Sanshui is under construction in full swing. 

 

According to the project manager, the main tower of the bridge consists of 30 sections, which is expected to open to traffic in March, 2024.

 

As the bridge spans over a 400-meter river and it is influenced by complex terrains, there are big challenges in its construction. Therefore, climbing formwork and closed-type abutments for the piers are adopted to ensure the security of aerial work.

 

So far, the bridge has been constructed as planned.

 

The cable-stayed bridge is a key project in the south extension of Tangxi Avenue PhaseⅢ, connecting the Shi’er(拾贰) Agro-ecological Park in Sanshui District and Nansha Village in Nanhai District.

 

The construction of the Third Bridge shows Sanshui’s measures to improve its transportation and promote the city’s coordinated development. In recent years, Sanshui District has exerted great efforts to seize the opportunity of building a modern and comprehensive transportation system in the Greater Bay Area by actively connecting the transportation road network and promoting the interconnection of roads based on its own development.
